About Us
Bolan Mining Enterprises (BME) is a joint venture since 1974 between the Government of Balochistan and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) with each partner holding a 50% working interest. PPL was designated as operator under the joint venture agreement in 1974.
Being the largest barite producer in the country meeting most of the barite demand in the domestic oil and gas upstream sector.
BME explores and produces from a mining lease spanning 316 acres in district Khuzdar. BME projects also consist of iron ore mining concessions with significant acreage in Nokkundi Chigendik, Pachinkoh, and Dilband.
BME have a diverse portfolio of projects all within the Balochistan province at various stages in the exploration and production cycle.
